Designed, analyzed, procured and installed a 1-ton wall-mounted cantilever jib crane to eliminate a manual heavy-lifting hazard on the personnel elevator/stairs — including column steel-modification FEA and supporting hand calculations.

  • Autodesk InventorModeled the crane and its column mounting, and ran supporting FEA.
  • ExcelStructural sizing sheet driven by the hand-calculation variables.
  • AutoCADAccessed the production-headframe seed model to design the mount in context.
  • NavisworksReviewed and coordinated the crane against the federated model.
