Industrial CAD & Simulation

Mine Service Headframe Model

Rebuilt the entire mine service headframe tower using Inventor and AutoCAD from drawings going as far back as the 1960s — the basis for rigging simulation, contractor drawing packages and fire-safety planning.

$125,000Rigging cost savings
Slinging/Rigging6 drawing documentation package
20+Fire safety plans

Cantilever Jib Crane

Designed, analyzed, procured, and installed a 1-ton wall-mounted jib crane for mine safety and efficiency — from column FEA to the on-site load test. This crane was installed inside the ore production headframe model, which I modeled both digitally and physically.

~$4,500Component costs
1 TonRated capacity
FEA + PMAnalysis & communication

Adjustable DC Power Supply

Designed and built a low-cost adjustable DC "lab" supply for common mechatronics circuits — from breadboard prototype through SPICE simulation, PCB layout and a soldered final board.

PCBMilled layout design
LTSPICEElectrical validation of the voltage regulator stage

Industrial CAD & Simulation

Ore Production Headframe Model

Rebuilt the entire Nutrien Cory Potash ore-hoist production headframe in the digital and physical world to help simulate a 53-ton skip (hoist bucket) upgrade — from 200+ historical drawings. The 1:100 physical model is currently displayed in the Mine Training Room.

03 — About

Versatile engineering.

I'm a University of Toronto Mechanical Engineering graduate (3.9 CGPA, Robotics & Mechatronics minor) and a Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional in Mechanical Design. I enjoy problems that run from first sketch to on-site testing. I don't give up until what you see on a screen comes to fruition outside of one.
